Working with clients on environmental campaigns around single issues and policies, such as challenging dirty energy projects like a natural gas pipeline, as well as multifaceted initiatives like building support for regional emissions reduction policies and programs.

CAMPAIGN ASSESSMENTS: Evaluating the strategic direction and effectiveness of existing campaigns, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and developing potential new courses of action.

CAMPAIGN PLANNING: Creating issue campaigns from the ground up, including assessing the relevant stakeholders, the challenges involved, and the allies needed, then developing achievable goals and detailed plans to reach them. I can also help identify potential funding sources.

CAMPAIGN IMPLEMENTATION: Managing campaign implementation, including tracking and reporting on activity by various actors and progress toward goal. Shifting action plan as needed.

Consulting with donors, foundations and grantmaking entities focused on environmental causes, climate change, and energy policy to identify and better achieve goals.

RESEARCH: Conducting landscape assessments on emerging and critical environmental issues to identify needs and intervention opportunities, as well as inform strategy, Determining key leverage and pressure points to increase chances of success.

PROGRAM ANALYSIS: Evaluating existing programs to see what is working, what needs to be changed, and what needs to be jettisoned.

IMPACT STRATEGY: Determining the best strategies for tackling specific issues - should it be regional or national? Grass roots or grass top? Some combination? What kinds of impact are desired? For example, local economic benefits, public health impact, environmental justice effect. Determining levels of funding to allocate to specific issue areas.

STRATEGIC PLANNING: Working with donors separately or in coalition to assess the current situation around a specific issue and recommend strategies.
